In collaboration with Kristina Wedel and Mareike Windisch, we created and implemented a unique mural celebrating the two Ringbahn directions, S41 and S42, along with Berlin’s many quirks and charming details. The goal was to depict the routes with playfulness and a touch of humor, turning each journey into a visual story filled with thoughtful details and highlights—a quick glance, and travelers know exactly which Ringbahn they need to take.
Strategically placed on a prominent wall at the station entrance, the mural provides instant orientation. Its carefully crafted design ensures the information sticks intuitively—no more stressful searching through maps or signs, just a clear and creative guide in the form of art.
Berlin Südkreuz was part of the DB "Future Stations" project, exploring innovative ideas to make stations more modern, efficient, and welcoming. Bringing this street art project to life was an absolute highlight for us. To this day, people come specifically to see the mural—a statement that perfectly blends orientation with a love for Berlin.
